Betty B. Parraga
Betty B. Parraga passed away on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born on Nov. 2, 1932, in Waimea, Kaua‘i. She was a Head Custodian at the Kalaheo Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by parents Marcelino and Apolonia Ceballos, husband Antone Parraga Jr., brothers Francisco Ceballos, Lorenzo Ceballos, Clemente Ceballos and sister Sally Edayan.
She is survived by son Anthony “Bully” (Rachelle) Parraga Sr. of Lihu‘e, daughters Antonette Parraga of Koloa, Tina (Larry) Yadao of Kalaheo, Trinette (Wesley) Kaui of Wailua, Elise (Corey) Silva of Kalaheo, grandchildren Kainoa Fernandes, Cherisse (David) Medeiros, Tiffany (Kalani) Salazar, LJ (Whitney) Yadao, Anthony “Tony Boy” (Tita Kapuniai) Parraga Jr., Joshua Parraga, Larissa (Jacob) Brun, Thomas Parraga, Kale Kaui, Kawika (Rachel) Kaui, Coryssa Silva, Casera Silva, 17 great-grandchildren, sisters-in- law Helen Ceballos of Waimea, Marie Ceballos of Kekaha, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, at the Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m., with funeral services to begin at 3 p.m. Burial services to be held at a later date. The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Ernesto R. Aguinaldo passed away on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, at the age of 87 years old. He was born on July 23, 1936, in Kaumakani. He was a Sugar Cane Crane Operator Loader with Olokele Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by parents Juan and Generosa Aguinaldo, son Wesley Aguinaldo, brothers Fausto Aguinaldo and Amado Aguinaldo.
He is survived by sons Stelzig Aguinaldo of Europe, Clayton Aguinaldo of Hanama‘ulu, daughters Leane (Eric) Aguinaldo-Medeiros of Koloa, Abbie Aguinaldo of Florida, grandchildren Brandon (Tai-li) Medeiros, Samantha (Shyla) Medeiros, Jason Aguinaldo, Joshua Aguinaldo, Rachel Aguinaldo, great-grandchildren Kalin Medeiros, Cyrus Medeiros, Kyra Medeiros, Ryan Medeiros, Peyton Medeiros, Kaizley Medeiros, brother Domingo (Sunday) Aguinaldo of Kaumakani, sisters Marina (Benjamin) Villatora of Puhi, Julia (Andy) Tambua of Wailua, Carol Rita of ‘Ele‘ele, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services to be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at The Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at the Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Camellia ‘Cami’ Ann Ditch-Crosby
Camellia “Cami” Ann Ditch-Crosby passed away on Dec. 19, 2023, at her residence at the age of 77 years old. She was born on July 15, 1946, in Lihu‘e. She was a childcare giver, secretary at Kaua‘i Medical Clinic, and office manager at the Lihu‘e Veterans Affair Administration Office.
She was preceded in death by mother Ramona Esquirra Akiyama, stepdad Minato Akiyama, hanai mother-in-law Florence Alfonso Dotario, father Warren Ditch, stepmother Peggy Ditch and brother Donald Ditch.
She is survived by caregiver/youngest daughter Leah N. Cami will be remembered for her kindness, faith, and dedication to her family. Her grandchildren will never forget how gentle, sweet, and a proud grandmother she was who had a contagious laughter. She was a loving, caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will always be remembered and missed.

Tito Rasay Gano
Tito Rasay Gano, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Feb. 4, 2024, in Lihu‘e at the age of 84. He was born on Jan. 4, 1940, in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was retired.
He was preceded in death by parents Dionicio B. Gano and Sergundina G. Rasay Gano, brothers Santiago Gano, Herminio Gano, sister Angelina Valdez, parent-in-law Simon (Teofista) Balisacan, and brother-in-law Gerardo Balisacan.
He is survived by wife Marina Balisacan Gano, son Richie (Kanani) Gano, grandchildren Kimo Gano, Madison, Mya, Mason, great-grandchild Isabella Gano, brothers Rogelio (Tessie) Gano, Rudico (Lita) Gano, Oscar (Anita) Gano, sisters Consorcia (Ernesto) Agmata, Ursula (Justino) Ganotise, Cornelia (Gil) Ganal, Perlita (Luciano) Rarangol, Zenaida (Domingo) Mendoza, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Contrado Acierto passed away on Jan. 31, 2024, at home in Kapa‘a at the age of 84. He was born on March 25, 1939, in Koloa. He served in the Hawai‘i Army National Guard and was a supervisor at Tower Construction on O‘ahu.
He was preceded in death by parents Jose and Faustina Acierto, wife Helena Dabin Acierto, brothers Benjamin Acierto, Alfredo Acierto, sister Lazara Laboguen, son Allen “Moose” Lopez, grandson Anthony Waipa, granddaughter Juliana Lopez and great-granddaughter Deysha Machado.
He is survived by daughters Esther (Raynard) Machado, Bernadette “Bernie” (Shilo) Pa, son Edmund “Eddie” (Kim) Acierto, Martin “Ali” Birtodaso, Garrick Lopez, Ronald (Jeanette) Lopez, Frederick “Joe” (Lihue) Lopez, Kathlyn Christian, Melissa Dabin, sisters Gloria (Larry-deceased) Rivera, Mary (Richard-deceased) Link, 32 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 2838 Kealia Road in Kealia beginning at 8 a.m. Inurnment will follow at St. Catherine Church Cemetery.
