KEKAHA — Users of Kikiaola Small Boat Harbor are invited to attend a community meeting on Feb. 27 starting at 4 p.m. to discuss proposed designs for a new boat ramp and loading dock at the facility.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation (DOBAR) will host the event that is a follow-up to the pre-design community meeting hosted by DOBAR on Oct. 6, 2023.
DOBAR encourages community involvement in the proposed designs for the new boat ramp and loading dock.
Kikiaola Small Boat Harbor is located 2 miles west of the Waimea River mouth, and is close to the town of Kekaha. In addition to a boat ramp and loading dock, the harbor currently offers four moorings, a vessel washdown area and restrooms.
