LIHU‘E — A number of road-related projects are on tap with the work stretching from Pakala to Hanalei, the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation said in an update on Friday.
The following is a list of scheduled projects for the workweek ending Feb. 23. All work is weather permitting.
Hanapepe
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for shoulder grading between mile post 17 and 21 in the vicinity of Lele Road, on Tuesday, Feb. 20, through Friday, Feb. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kalaheo
A single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for storm drain installing and paving, in the vicinity of Kuli Road and Lauoho Road, beginning Monday, Feb. 19, through Friday, Feb. 23, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass cutting between mile post 13 and 19, in the vicinity of Kaumakani Avenue, on Tuesday, Feb. 20, through Friday, Feb. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kalihiwai
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass cutting, between Kalihiwai Road and Princeville Airport, on Tuesday, Feb. 20, through Thrusday, Feb. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kealia
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for cold planing and paving, between Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road, on Monday, Feb. 19, through Friday, Feb. 23, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Kilauea
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for tree trimming, between Ko‘olau Road and Princeville Airport, on Tuesday, Feb. 20 through Friday, Feb. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree trimming.
Lihu‘e
A roving right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for weed control between Rice Street and Makeke Road, on Tuesday, Feb. 20, through Friday, Feb. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for restriping between Leho Drive and Kuamo‘o Road, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 20, through Friday, Feb. 23, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for cold planing and paving between mile post 0.7 and 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, beginning Monday, Feb. 19, through Friday, Feb. 23, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass cutting and clearing of drainage swale between Ehiku Street and Laulima Street, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 20, through Thursday, Feb. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Olokele
A single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for bridge inspections at the Olokele Overpass on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Princeville
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in either direction for debris removal and hauling of slope material between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, from Tuesday, Feb. 20, through Friday, Feb. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Traffic will be alternated through the open lane.
A full closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in both directions for final work on the Hanalei Bridge Repair Project between Hanalei Plantation Road and Hanalei Bridge, from Monday, Feb. 19, through Friday, Feb. 23, from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Wailua
A single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) is possible in the vicinity of the Opaeka‘a Falls lookout, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until further notice for slope stabilization.
