Happy Valentine’s Day!
Edwin Vea of The Beach House restaurant said it’s after Valentine’s Day, but their next craft fair is on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with about 50 vendors (that’s a good amount of choices as far as local craft fairs go!). Go early for the best parking.
How about them kendama that’s been popping up, everywhere? Bubbah’s Toy Box (he’s got regular shipments of kendama coming in, now) and Sheldon Peralta is hosting a kendama tournament on Saturday at the Kukui Grove Center. Check out the store (next door to Spectrum that sponsors the Keiki Korner play area) for more details.
Friday is the deadline to register for the First Valentine’s Pickleball Tournament presented by the Hawai‘i Lodging &Tourism Association, Kaua‘i as a fundraiser for the annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk. The Charity Walk takes place on May 4 (this year’s themed shirt is really cool so keep an eye open on when you can order one). The pickleball tournament will play Feb. 23 to 25 at the Kaua‘i Beach Villas’ courts.
Michelle Panoke of the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i said the group has to be at the Lihu‘e County Park by 5 a.m. on Saturday to help with a Dodgeball tournament that’s benefiting the Kaua‘i United Way, and Brad Hiranaka of Kaua‘i Youth Football said more than 700 students are already registered for the All Position football camp featuring the Herbig brothers at Vidinha Stadium.
