LIHU‘E — A number of road-related projects are on tap with work areas ranging from South Shore to North Shore, the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation said in a weekly update on Friday.
The following is a list of projects scheduled for the workweek ending Feb. 16. All work is weather permitting.
Kalaheo
A single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for storm drain installation and paving between Kuli Road and Lauoho Road, nightly through Friday, Feb. 16 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for shoulder grading between mile post 12 and 16, on Monday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kealia
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for cold planing and paving between Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road, on Sunday, Feb. 11, through Friday, Feb. 16, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Kilauea
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for tree trimming between mile marker 23 and 26, in the vicinity of the Princeville Airport, beginning Monday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass cutting between mile marker 25 and 28, beginning Monday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lawai
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass cutting between mile marker 10 to 14, in the vicinity of Akemama Road, beginning Monday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lihue
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for cold planing and paving between mile post 0.7 and 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway through Friday, Feb. 16, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass cutting between mile marker 2.5 and 2.78 in the vicinity of Kapule Highway, on Monday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for restriping between North Leho Drive and Kuamoo Road through Friday, Feb. 16, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for restriping.
Puhi
A single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for excavation of existing asphalt and pouring of concrete between mile post 2.14 and 2.74 in the vicinity of Kipu Road, on Monday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 16, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Princeville
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in either direction for debris removal and hauling of slope material between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, from Monday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Traffic will be alternated through the open lane.
A full closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in both directions between Hanalei Plantation Road and Hanalei Bridge through Friday, Feb. 16, from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for Hanalei Bridge deck replacement.
Wailua
A single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) in the vicinity of the Opaeka‘a Falls lookout is possible for slope stabilization work 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
