KAPA‘A — The Hawai‘i Health Systems Corporation (HHSC), Kaua‘i Region invites everyone to the free Community Health and Wellness Resource Fair on the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital campus on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
KAPA‘A — The Hawai‘i Health Systems Corporation (HHSC), Kaua‘i Region invites everyone to the free Community Health and Wellness Resource Fair on the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital campus on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
The health care professionals from HHSC Kaua‘i Region will partner with more than 10 community health service groups to offer patrons “lots of free giveaways,” and a free surprise from Aloun Farms, which recently supplied the free island-wide pumpkins for Halloween that were grown on Kaua‘i.
Patrons can also find out more about the new Mahelona Hospital Imaging Department, the Diagnostic Lab Services that inaugurated service on Jan. 2 at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital and the Mahelona Hospital Master Plan Gallery.
Other health care professionals will be available to offer information on Long Term Care support and preparations, questions and answers on Behavioral Health, and other questions, including Ask a Doctor, Ask a Pharmacist, Ask a Dietician and Ask a Therapist, as well as Fall Prevention Risk Assessment.
The Mahelona Hospital Nutrition Department will offer lunch options for sale at the resource fair.
Other sponsors will be offering prize giveaways, including a Hawaiian Airlines gift certificate valued at $250, 10 opportunities for a dozen long-stemmed red rose bouquets from Flowers Forever, 10 chances to earn an iHeart Track Connected blood pressure monitor, and more.
