Kudos, Shannon Hiramoto and the many, many hands that created the Mu‘umu‘u Pa‘ina presented by the Kaua‘i Historical Society (evenCoach Kevin Matsunaga was working the event with his cameras) at Smith’s Tropical Paradise (Sally Cravens was helping Kamika Smith by driving the shuttle from the entrance to the lu‘au hale) that was sold out at more than 430 people, including Honolulu’s Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke (how did Edie Ignacio Neumiller get the seat next to the Lt. Gov.?) and those Honolulu celebrities from television and vendors from the Mu‘umu‘u Market.

More kudos to Carol Yotsuda of the Garden Island Arts Council (is the Boroboro Boutique going to be at the Craft Fair component of the Grove Farm Market on Saturday?) on spearheading the Design Contest that was sold out in some categories (how many people from Vicky’s Fabrics entered?).
Elvrine Chow of Heavenly Haku (she’s going to be leading some of the mini workshops coming up when The Kaua‘i Quilt Show opens on Feb. 9 at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists gallery at Kukui Grove Center) had the perfect haku lei accessory for all those mu‘umu‘u (Jamilee Jimenez said February is Aloha Shirt Month, spearheaded by a Kaimuki lei shop … what are we doing on Kaua‘i?).
OK, time to get ready for the Craft Fair component of Grove Farm Market on Saturday … Debbie Yanagihara opens the Local Treasures Marketplace on Sunday at Kaua‘i Veterans Center (any flea market type vendors still looking for a marketplace?) … just in time for Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day.
