Donya McKnight of Ice Cold Brew (Debbie Yanagihara loved the lychee drink) said another group was working on creating the cheese and fruit boards for another event on Saturday during the Kaua‘i Island Craft Fair at Kaua‘i Veterans Center.
Debbie, who coordinates the Kaua‘i Island Craft Fair at different locations from Princeville (Church of the Pacific) to Koloa (just recently started at Koloa Neighborhood Center), said despite the holidays being over, craft fair business has been picking up with more than 25 vendors registered for the event.
She’s currently looking for vendors — preferably flea-market style vendors with surplus merchandise or farmers with overstock from farmers markets — for the Local Treasures Marketplace that sets up on the first Sunday of each month at Kaua‘i Veterans Center (Aida Cruz confirmed the need for flea market style vendors). Email kauaiislandcraftfairs@gmail.com for more information … they can also use food trucks
Michael and Carol Saiki of The Sugar Gallery (great looking macaroons, and Kevin Cadiente of Lickety Louis said the chocolate cakes are the bomb) are taking preorders for Girls Day cookies (they’re all hand-made). Carol (she’s an award winner from Giradelli and other mainland cake contests!) said The Sugar Gallery is only at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center craft fair. Sample photos and orders can be found on Facebook/The Sugar Gallery … she also does pies and all kinds of party favors. Email them at thesugargallery@att.net or call land line 808-378-4826.
