LIHU‘E — A number of road-related projects are scheduled in the upcoming week with most of the work taking place on the east and north sides of Kaua‘i, the Hawaii Department of Transportation said in its weekly update.
The following is a list of projects scheduled for the workweek ending Jan. 26.
Kalaheo
A single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible for storm drain installation in either direction between Kuli Road and Lauoho Road, nightly through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Kealia
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for cold planing and paving in either direction, between Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for construction of fire break, between Ioane Road and Kalalea Road, on Monday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Kilauea
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for tree trimming, between mile marker 23 and 26, in the vicinity of Princeville Airport, on Monday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Koloa
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass cutting and guardrail clearing, between mile post 6 to 10, in the vicinity of Akemama Road, on Monday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for shoulder grading, between mile post 9 and 13, in the vicinity of Upa Road, on Monday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lihu‘e
A right lane closure Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for grass cutting in either direction, in the vicinity of Rice Street, on Monday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for cold planing and paving, between mile post 0.7 and 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A right lane closure Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in the southbound direction for guardrail clearing, between mile post 3.7 and 5, in the vicinity of Leho Drive, on Monday, Jan. 20, through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Princeville
A full closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in both directions for Hanalei Bridge deck replacement, between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, nightly through Friday, Jan. 26 from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Puhi
A roving right shoulder closure Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for week control, between mile post 1.8 and 10, in the vicinity of Kikowaena Street and Akemama Road., on Monday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Wailua
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in the southbound direction for manhole repair, between Kuamo‘o Road and Haleilio Road, on Wednesday, Jan. 24, through Friday, Jan. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) is possible in the vicinity of the Opaeka‘a Falls lookout, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until further notice for slope stabilization.
