Kaua‘i does its share in the statewide Human Trafficking Awareness campaign coordinated by Ho‘ola Na Pua on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, as about a dozen people braved the cold wind and blustery conditions to sign wave along Rice Street fronting the lawn of the historic County Building

Edie Ignacio Neumiller, left, and MJ Akuna, of the YWCA of Kaua‘i, right, join Eric Madden of Ho‘ola Na Pua in sign waving for Human Trafficking Awareness on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, along Rice Street fronting the lawn of the historic County Building where donated Genies and High Lifts wait to finish taking down the Festival of Lights.

Edie Ignacio Neumiller said when advocates of Human Trafficking Prevention took part in the Kaua‘i share of a statewide effort on Thursday, it was special because coordinator Eric Madden works on Kaua‘i, but lives in Honolulu.
