There is a whole slew of activities (Pam Chock said the Grove Farm Museum tour will feature Mabel Wilcox’s mu‘umu‘u collection, and Pat Griffin will do the Downtown Lihu‘e Walking Tour next week since Dr. Addison Bulosan is celebrating his birthday) before the month’s highlight pa‘ina that is a benefit for the Kaua‘i Historical Society on Jan. 28 at the Smith’s Tropical Paradise.
Shannon said it’s Girl Scout Cookie Time since her daughter has Girl Scout Cookie University on Saturday…delivery comes later, but it’s time to find your Girl Scout to order your supply.
Saturday is also the opening day for the Kaua‘i Senior Softball (their season runs weekly all the way through the fall) league that features 13 different teams.
And the high school sports comes back from Winter Break with the swimmers taking the water on Saturday. The outrigger canoe paddlers are also back in the water, and Waimea High School coach Tori Kagawa (she’s getting excited now that the University of Hawai‘i men’s volleyball started play) said the boys soccer teams need to start winning instead of just tying games.
