When reaching the website, click on the “Golf Tournament” tab takes users to the registration and fee payment.
Other sponsorship opportunities, such as co-sponsoring a hole, can be done by speaking with Lion Jerry Moore at 808-482-4150.
The Kaua‘i North Shore Lions Club will host its annual tournament for scholarships on Jan. 13 at the Makai Golf Course in Princeville. All of the event’s proceed go to scholarships and other educational programs for North Shore students for education beyond high school.
The tournament format is a four-person team scramble with contests for the Straightest Drive, Hit the Green, Closest to the Pin and more, including a $25,000 hole in one contest.
Additionally, the North Shore Lions will feature a live helicopter golf ball drop where golf balls can be purchased at $25 for two golf balls through the Lions’ website that is mentioned earlier. During last year’s event, the winner walked away with more than $2,800.
Registration opens at 7 a.m. with a $200 entry fee, followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
The registration fee includes everything — all of the special contests, the renowned Lions barbecue lunch and lucky ticket drawings.
