Antonio (Tony) Habagat
Antonio (Tony) Habagat, 99, passed away on Oct. 22, 2023, at Garden Isle Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born on July 13, 1924, in Hanama‘ulu. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for McBryde and Grove Farm Company. He is mostly remembered as a person who likes to dance.
He was preceded in passing by his wife Dora, sons Clifford, Douglas, and daughter Stephaine.
He is survived by his children Helen Kenney Wilson, Patrick Kenney, Greg Tolib (Suzette) Kenney, Sharon (David) Callahan, Vivian (Lodring) Raposas, Diana (Timmy) Texeira, and Dayna (Michael) Ng. Also surviving are numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on March 23, 2024, at Koloa Neighborhood Center starting at 12 p.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Aurora Gudoy Planas
Aurora Gudoy Planas passed away on Dec. 20, 2023, in Lihu‘e at the age of 65. She was born on Aug. 28, 1958, in the Philippines. She was a housekeeper at The Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort & Spa and The Point at Po‘ipu.
She was preceded in death by parents Anastacio Gudoy and Conception Valdez, husband Gregorio Planas and brother Juanito Gudoy.
She is survived by daughters Analisa (Kendall) Oshiro, Maybeline (Albert) Parbo, sisters Lourdes Planas, Maria Gudoy, Fely (Wayne) Node, Lydia Mamaclay, Gloria (Vic) Soria, brothers Wilson (Lydia) Gudoy, Sam (Shirley) Gudoy, Artemio (Gening) Gudoy, Arsenio (Elizabeth) Gudoy and five grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo. Visitation begins at 8 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., and burial will follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.

Basilio Somejo Saniatan
Basilio Somejo Saniatan passed away on Dec. 16, 2023, in Hanapepe at the age of 98. He was born on March 25, 1925, in the Philippines. He was a retired grounds keeper at Po‘ipu Kai.
He was preceded in death by parents Florencio and Maxima Saniatan, wife Fernanda Saniatan, daughter Wilhelmina Puruganan, and son Lauro Saniatan.
He is survived by daughters Simplicia (Franklin) Tugade, Nenita (Andy) Puruganan, Maxima (Dave) Limpert, son Tony (Lolita Saniatan) Sopapo, sister Nelly Amit, 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha. Visitation begins at 9 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., and cremation to follow.
