Steven Mitsuo Saiki
Steven Mitsuo Saiki, of ‘Ele‘ele, passed away on Dec. 12, 2023, at home at the age of 79. He was born on Jan. 9, 1944, in ‘Ele‘ele. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired teacher of Waimea High School.
He was preceded in death by daughter Renee Aiko Saiki and parents Nobuo and Toyoko Saiki.
He is survived by wife Elaine Saiki, son Ryan Saiki of ‘Ele‘ele, daughter Lani Saiki-Woods (Matthew) of Lihu‘e, three grandchildren, brothers Gerald Saiki (Pam) of O‘ahu, Russell Saiki (Dale) of O‘ahu, Bert (Lita) Saiki of ‘Ele‘ele, sister Gayle Cuizon of Oma‘o, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at the West Kaua‘i Hongwanji Mission in Hanapepe from 9 to 10 a.m. A private service for the family only will follow at 10 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and requests no flowers or no koden (monetary gifts).

Remedios ‘Remy’ Bautista Guyang
Remedios “Remy” Bautista Guyang, 77, passed away on Nov. 19, 2023, in Lihu‘e. She was born on Oct. 6, 1946, in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan, Philippines. She was a retired nurse from Kaua‘i Medical Clinic.
She was preceded in death by parents Addong and Rufina Bautista and brother Dionisio Bautista.
She is survived by husband Jackson Guyang, daughters Jane (Jed) Baris, Jerilyn Guyang, brothers Virgilio Bautista Sr., Filomeno (Erlinda) Bautista, Virgilio (Tony) Bautista Jr., sisters Jovi Guerrero, Purita (Domingo) Norial, Virginia (William Jr.) Batulayan, four grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life is Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10 a.m.

Fausta Bonachita Cristobal
Fausta Bonachita Cristobal passed away on Dec. 20, 2023, in Waimea. She was born on Dec. 19, 1931, in Waimea. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by parents Tranquelino and Felimina Bonachita, husband Arsenio Cristobal, brothers Thomas Bonachita, William Bonachita, Kenneth Bonachita, Antonio Bonachita, sisters Consolacion Saraos, Josephine Morgan, Edna Youn, Vivian Tiwanak and Petra Bonachita.
She is survived by sons Roland (Carol) Cristobal, Steven Cristobal, Blaine (Margaret) Cristobal, Darian Cristobal, daughter Rosalyn (Paul) Ribucan, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held.

Moises Magen Lemi Jr.
Moises Magen Lemi Jr., 54, of Arcata, California, passed away on Dec. 30, 2021, in Santa Clara, California. He was born on July 21, 1967, in Lihu‘e. He worked in the hotel hospitality industry.
He was preceded in death by father Moises M. Lemi Sr., mother Ramona Aradanas Lemi and Lorie Ann Puanani Lemi.
He is survived by sisters Michelle L. Lemi, Lisa M. Lemi (Andrew Ganang), brothers Wayne K. Lemi (Joanie Lemi), Allan T.K. Lemi, nieces and nephews Tristen S.M.K. Hancock (Gvante Hancock), Natasha P. Lemi, Rosie M. Walag (Kaven Walag), Kaina Rosare (Emma Keller), Kanoa Rosare (Karla Asai), Lorie M. Lemi, Aaliyah K. Rosare, Sarah Singh, Juanito Singh, grandnephews Zäven Walag, Kaiven Walag, Raizen Walag, Blayne Keller, Braxton Rosare, grandniece Braylyne Rosare, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life is Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, at Ahukini from 9 to 10 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.
Genevieve Delanoza
Genevieve Delanoza passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, in Waimea, Kaua‘i, at the age of 89 years old. She was born on Jan. 7, 1934, in Aiea, Hawai‘i. She was a custodian for the State of Hawai‘i.
She was preceded in death by husband Bicente Delanoza and son Rodney Delanoza.
She is survived by sons Alan Delanoza of Los Angeles, California, Derek Delanoza of Kekaha, Chad (Mary) Delanoza of Kekaha, daughter Gendolyn “Gwen” Delanoza of Kekaha, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brothers Ray Sam Fong of Kapa‘a, Bert Sam Fong of Kihei, Maui, sisters Alma Silva of California, Shirly Sam Fong of Kekaha, Merna Tuzon of Oma‘o, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kekaha Ward. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m., with a funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
