LIHU‘E — The Little Pea Holiday Craft Fair is coming to Kaua‘i Philippines Cultural Center on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days.
The annual fundraiser, with more than 35 local crafters, will benefit Kaua‘i Hospice. And, according to Peach Alpeche, Baby Seeley will again be joining the event.
“It will be so nice to see the entire Borges family, again,” Peach said. “They will be making popcorn, again.”
The Little Pea fairs started when Baby Seeley was needing some help with medical expenses while battling cancer in a hospital on the mainland in 2022.
Since then, Baby Seeley received a bone marrow transplant that caused her cancer to go into remission. She and her ‘ohana have been at the Little Pea fairs ever since to meet and thank all of the people who helped her and continue to support her.
Little Pea has gone on to host craft fairs to benefit other nonprofits. This year it has selected Kaua‘i Hospice as the beneficiary.
“Healing Horses will be bringing two of their miniature ponies and talking to the community about their Horse Camp, and the different therapies they offer at their Wailua stables,” Peach said.
“The Lihu‘e Neighborhood Bonsai Club, a very popular attraction during the recent Senior Craft Fair at the Lihu‘e Neighborhood Center, will be coming on Saturday with their bonsai and plant display, as well as having plants for sale. They will be having one plant that they will be doing a lucky giveaway with all the proceeds benefiting Kaua‘i Hospice.”
Also, on Saturday, there will be a silent auction with pick up on Sunday.
Refreshments available for purchase include Kaua‘i malasada, Super Hero Sushi and Thai Food and cold brew coffee.
“I really think that this will be a fun event,” Peach said. “We hope to see you there.”
