William Val Badua
William Val Badua passed away on Oct. 26, 2023, at his home in Lihu‘e at the age of 72. He was born on Dec. 22, 1950, in Waimea, Kaua‘i. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and retired in the construction industry in 2007. He was also an avid surfer and skilled salt maker.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mabel and William Badua, brothers Leonard Badua and Milton Badua.
He is survived by his wife Debra Badua, son Aukai Badua (Vicky Wolfe), daughter Gabrielle (Daniel) Del Toro, four grandchildren, sisters Stella (Aaron) Hookano of Honolulu and Michelle San Nicholas of Guam.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at the Veterans Center in Lihu‘e from 4 to 8 p.m. The family requests casual or aloha attire and welcomes flowers. Interment will occur at a later date.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
