Congratulations, Sheldon and Kristyn Peralta of Bubbah’s Toy Box, who will open the doors to Sissy’s Stationary &Stuff (stationary and Little Kitty items were good sellers during the many pop-ups at Kukui Grove) from 10 a.m. on Saturday through Dec. 30 in the space located next to Game Stop at Kukui Grove Center.

Congratulations as well to the Kapa‘a Interfaith Association and Chefs Mark and Wendy Oyama and the Contemporary Flavors catering ‘ohana on serving up more than 1,400 meals, including the home deliveries from Lihu‘e to Anahola, during the annual KIA Community Thanksgiving Lunch (how many years does it have to run before it becomes tradition?) where the fellowship was as important as the good food being served by the many KIA volunteers.
Mahalo and kudos to the Sheraton Kaua‘i Coconut Beach Resort for providing Thanksgiving meals to the first responders having to work on the day where everyone else was enjoying family and good food … no worries, shift crew at the Kaikea Fire Station, who didn’t want their soiled truck in the photo because they had just responded to a water rescue, and the crew at the Kapa‘a Fire Station took advantage in a lull in phone calls to pick up their lunch.
Babara Gusman of the Sheraton Kaua‘i Coconut Beach said they are very grateful for all the first responders because they do so much for the hotel.
