PO‘IPU — Kim Medeiros was named All Around Cowgirl with 168 points, when the Kaua‘i All Girl Rodeo Association released its year-end winner listing on Monday to wrap up the 2023 season.
Five points back, Amber Kaonohi with 163 points, was named the Reserve All Around Cowgirl.
Competition for the first two coveted spots was tight with Medeiros edging out Kaonohi by a single point in the Team Roping Heeler division.
Similarly, Medeiros was six points ahead of Kaonohi in 1D Barrel Racing with the eventual All Around Cowgirl picking up first place in the division with 45 points to Kaonohi’s 39 points.
Kaonohi soared in the 1D Pole Bending division with a first place and 53 points over second place Medeiros and 33 points.
KAGRA will start its series in 2024.
