LIHU‘E — A number of projects will impact local roads this week from the west side of the island to the North Shore, as crews perform a variety of jobs ranging from routine maintenance to debris removal, the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation said in its weekly update.
The following is a list of projects for the workweek ending Nov. 24. Work is weather permitting.
Kalihiwai
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for clearing guardrails, slopes and grass cutting in either direction between mile post 23.8 and 25, in the vicinity of Kalihiwai Road and Kalihiwai Bridge on Monday, Nov. 20, through Wednesday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kealia
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for clearing guardrails, slopes and grass cutting in either direction, between mile post 10 and 11.5, on Monday, Nov. 20, through Wednesday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Koloa
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible to reinstall reflectors on the travel way edge and center line in either direction between mile post 5 and 6 on Monday, Nov. 20, and Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Makaweli
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible for guardrail clearing and grass trimming in either direction between mile post 21 and 24 on Monday, Nov. 20, through Wednesday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Oma‘o
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible for shoulder grading in either direction between mile post 8 to 11 in the vicinity of Lauoho Road on Monday, Nov. 20, through Wednesday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Princeville
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible for debris removal and hauling of slope material in the eastbound direction between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Monday, Nov. 20, through Wednesday, Nov. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic will be alternating through the open lane.
