“The Hawai‘i Children’s Theatre is thrilled to present ‘Elf the Musical’ to the Kaua‘i community,” said HCT President Debra Blachowiak. “This production represents the hard work and dedication of our talented young performers and the incredible support of our community. Elf is a heartwarming story that reminds us of the true meaning of the holiday season, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
Tickets are available now through any of the cast members or online at the Hawai‘i Children’s Theatre website at www.HCTkauai.org.
Elf, with a talented cast of local youths ages from 8 to 17 years old, and familiar adult stage faces like Tom Worthen, Gaylen Worthen, Allegra Gaines, Max Richardson, Ron Soderstrom, Colten Moore, Jim Warrack and more combine their exceptional talents to create a memorable experience for the audience in bringing the heartwarming story of an Elf, who finds out he is “human” and not an elf.
The trio of Tom Frascatore, a more than 50-year veteran in directing, acting and teaching; Carol Culver, who brings a background in Broadway, film and teaching; and Alan Van Zee, a multi-talented musician and music director with more than 35 years in Kaua‘i’s music and theatre scene, combine for the promise of delivering a holiday production that captures the essence of the season.
Buddy, portrayed by a new face to the Kaua‘i stage, Ryan Winters, embarks on a journey to find his true identity. His many adventures, including bringing the Christmas spirit back to New York City, is the magic of “Elf.”
