LIHU‘E — Five of the Kaua‘i High School boys runners made two categories in the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation cross-country all-stars list released by the KIF on Tuesday.
LIHU‘E — Five of the Kaua‘i High School boys runners made two categories in the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation cross-country all-stars list released by the KIF on Tuesday.
Per the KIF Constitution regarding the selection process, the top six individual boys and girls finishers at the Central Pacific Bank KIF championship meet are recognized as a KIF All-Star.
Saxon Kimball of Kapa‘a High School was the first individual boys finisher at the championship race and filled one of the KIF Boys Champion All-Star slots. Other athletes in the category include Kobe Claussen, Cassius Olson, Elias Casillas, Kaidyn Yago, all of Kaua‘i High School, and Kaleb Parraga of Waimea High School.
On the girls course, Aileah Villatora of Kaua‘i High School was the first female finisher overall and gets the top spot in the KIF Girls Champion All-Star listing. She is joined by Esjhale Chung Ching Man of Kaua‘i High School, Ashlyn Worley of Island School, Gwyneth Adams of Kapa‘a High School, Wainohia Kitamura of Kapa‘a High School and McKenna Kerry of Island School.
Kaua‘i High School was named to the KIF Boys Team Champion All-Stars with Claussen, Olson, Casillas and Yago being joined by Zion Akana, Liam Juvan and Ty Clark.
Island School was named to the KIF Girls Team Champion and included Worley and Kerry being joined by Sadie Stiglmeier, Avani Keahiolalo, Kolohaiaheahe Kuhaulua, Sydney Manibog and Michaela Meuldijk.
