Kudos to the Kaua‘i Veterans Council and its community partners on hosting a successful Kaua‘i Veterans Celebration, where Council Chair Mel Rapozo reminded people about the Green Light Project (… wondering if the Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery still has her green light from last year, and it was touching to see the green light amid all the red on the Kaua‘i Fire Department vehicles).

And more kudos to all of the talent at the Kaua‘i Veterans Celebration who could effectively juggle schedules to star at other community events … Lexi Jones bounced from the Historic County Building lawn on Saturday to do “stage duty” at Hanapepe’s Biggest Little Carnival on Sunday, where Julie Demond of Jules of Da ‘Aina was missing both the AYSO championships (AYSO Section Director Bob Strand came over from Honolulu especially for this!) and the Kaua‘i Soccer Association weekly games.
Sheila Bradley of Paper Pie had her holiday gifts already available at the Hanapepe’s Biggest Little Carnival where schools and sporting event groups outside the Hanapepe Pop Warner and Hanapepe Youth Baseball benefited from their respective fundraising efforts … the Lihu‘e Patriots Pop Warner Football Association is scheduling a fundraising pancake breakfast, car wash and baked good sale for Nov. 18 at the Isenberg Park … presale tickets are available to help the currently undefeated 12 and Under Patriots make a post season (only games remaining is Sunday at the Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex) game in California. Call Sweetie Abreu for donations or tickets (pancake breakfast and car wash/baked good sale are separate) at 808-652-2652.
