HANAPEPE — Hanapepe Pop Warner Association President Alden Pablo said the Fourth annual Hanapepe’s Biggest Little Carnival will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Hanapepe Athletic Park, or the area between Hanapepe Stadium and adjoining community baseball fields.
HANAPEPE — Hanapepe Pop Warner Association President Alden Pablo said the Fourth annual Hanapepe’s Biggest Little Carnival will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Hanapepe Athletic Park, or the area between Hanapepe Stadium and adjoining community baseball fields.
Proceeds from the carnival, which runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, will help the Hanapepe Pop Warner Association and the Hanapepe Youth Baseball Association with its operations to provide youths with healthy after-school and weekend activity.
During the two days of carnival, the Sixth annual T-Ball Tournament of Champions will take place at the community baseball fields on Saturday and Sunday.
The Kaua‘i Pop Warner Football League weekly games will be on tap on Sunday at Hanapepe Stadium.
The two-day event will feature an assortment of Fun N K’wazy Rides, ono food, a craft fair featuring some vendors offering Western, or paniolo lifestyle merchandise, carnival game booths and an Ice Cream Eating Contest sponsored by Super Duper Ice Cream, a longtime community supporter.
Saturday’s entertainment will feature performances by the Merrie Monarch award winning Halau Ka Lei Mokihana O Leina‘ala with Kumu Hula Leina‘ala Pavao Jardin. The entertainment lineup also features Joe Kaneholani, Taiko Kaua‘i performances and Cruz Control.
Kapena takes the stage starting at 4:30 p.m.
Bingo at Hanapepe Neighborhood Center closes out the first day starting at 6 p.m.
The Sunday entertainment lineup includes performances by Darren Kiyotsuka, Ka‘ahu Brun, Lenny Breeze and Kawai Pascua.
Hanapepe’s Biggest Little Carnival is presented by the Hanapepe Pop Warner Association and Hanapepe Youth Baseball Association with support from a number of community organizations, including the County of Kaua‘i.
