Kudos to the Cognitions program on hosting the Kawaikini New Century Public Charter School to the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory field trip on Friday, where the Kawaikini students (they even offered their help to create some of the displays!) learned about the senses. Kyoko Ikeda Chun (Coach Dennis Chun was busy showing off their mini version of a Polynesian sailing canoe!) and a group of International Study students were so impressed with the program during last year’s presentation, they took over one of the stations.
More Halloween activities are on tap when the Kaua‘i Resilience Project, Kaua‘i Action and Planning Alliance partners with Kukui Grove Center (Kukui Grove has its Halloween Festival and Costume Contest on Saturday from 10 a.m … unfortunately, the online registration is already sold out) for its Third annual Trunk or Treat event on Sunday in the parking area between Long’s Drugs and the UPS Store starting at 3 p.m.
Happy Halloween, Kaua‘i. Stay safe!
