KALAHEO — For the eighth year, the Kalaheo Dental Group is hosting its Halloween Candy Buyback on Nov. 1 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at its offices located in Rainbow Plaza in Kalaheo.
The event, which has been proven to be successful by families, will have the Kalaheo Dental Group “buying back extra” unopened Halloween candy from keiki for $1 per pound to a 5-pound limit. Candy must be unopened and in original packaging.
All of the collected candy and toothbrushes provided by the Kalaheo Dental Group will be donated to the nation’s troops through Operation Shoebox.
In previous buybacks, the Kalaheo Dental Group “discovered” local residents serving in Afghanistan with the discovery leading to an expanded effort from local businesses to provide a touch of home to those in the military who could not spend the holidays with their loved ones.
“Your candy will bring joy to our troops, and the toothbrushes will bring them great dental health,” Kalaheo Dental Group said. “All candy donors will be eligible for a prize drawing of a $100 gift card from Small Fry at the Kukui Grove Center.”
The Halloween Candy Buyback is also being sponsored by The UPS Store Kaua‘i at Kukui Grove Center.
