The St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church is hosting its annual Holiday Craft Fair (you never know what kind of information is waiting to be discovered when participating in the YMCA candlelight vigil — kudos, Emma White, Ranae Hamilton-Cambeilh and YWCA staff for hosting the event!) on Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (it’s a great extension of the Kaua‘i Veterans Council Kaua‘i Veterans Celebration that’ll be taking place on the lawn of the Historic County Building … even walking distance).

Mahalo and kudos to Tess Shimabukuro and all the credit unions on Kaua‘i on hosting International Credit Union Day where Kaua‘i Federal Credit Union board member Lexi Jones said it’s time to remember the credit union members because without members, there’re no credit unions.
Myrvie Buster of Garden Island Federal Credit Union said their celebration was a whole week with special guests from Child and Family Service on Wednesday, and Conrad Rualizo of the Kaua‘i Teachers Federal Credit Union set up a mini craft fair (Melody Lopez of Catholic Charities said we need something like that in Lihu‘e) to go along with their take-it succulents and homemade baked goods.
One of those vendors will be part of more than 60 vendors participating in the annual Ace Hardware and Crafts Holiday Craft Fair, which will take place on Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. when the event returns to the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall.
In the meantime, there’re free pumpkins — while supplies last — for keiki at The Pau Hana Market from 3 p.m. on Monday at Kukui Grove Center where you can always indulge in snack items and freshly-squeezed lemonade from Mother’s Filipino Comfort Food.
And, if you’re early, the Department of Water is distributing free collapsible water jugs (again, while supplies last) at Grove Farm Market as part of Imagine A Day Without Water that was on Thursday.
