The Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) said because of the condition of the body it is seeking the public’s help in the identification process.
“According to a preliminary report, KPD personnel responded to a call of a possible body floating in the waters off the Lihi Boat Ramp (Waika‘ea Canal) in Kapa‘a,” the KPD said.

The body did have an elastic bandage wrap on the left wrist. An autopsy was completed, and foul play is not suspected at this time. The KPD also said no missing persons reports have been filed recently.
