Dr. Laurel Coleman (she’s planning to walk) said Arnold Leong of the Fah Inn (there actually is a ‘Fah Inn’ building in Waimea) is planning to cook pancakes for participants of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which takes place on Saturday with registration starting at 7 a.m. and the walk starting at 8 a.m. at the Ocean Course at Hokuala. This is a new site from the original walk that was rescheduled due to consideration for the Maui wildfires, and there is no Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation bowling scheduled to keep Coach Kevin Gusman from walking.

Dr. Coleman was at Pau Hana Market, raising funds (Kekaha tomatoes and bananas for donations) to send a Kaua‘i Medical Trauma Team to Maui on behalf of the Cooperative Churches of West Kaua‘i.
The Pau Hana Market will be distributing free pumpkins to keiki next Monday from 3 p.m., while supplies last (they passed out a lot during the Kaua‘i Chocolate and Coffee Festival) … did you check out the new, revised rules for the recipe contest, which takes place on Oct. 28, the same day the Friends of the Hanapepe Public Library will be hosting a used book sale?
More free pumpkins will be distributed to keiki on Friday from 4 p.m. at The Shops at Kukui‘ula in the Palm Court area for as long as the supplies last.
