More carnival activities are on tap on Saturday when the Kukui Grove Center teams up with Mary Lardizabal and the Kapa‘a Middle School ‘ukulele band and choir booster club, who will be doing a live performance and offer six carnival type activity stations, including fish pond, face painting, corn hole and more during the fall break movie night on Saturday (isn’t it the same night as the downtown Lihu‘e night market?) from 4:30 p.m.
If you missed the pumpkin giveaway in Kekaha on Saturday, don’t worry … more free pumpkins will be available while supplies last this Sunday when the Kaua‘i Chocolate &Coffee Festival (the tastings are available for purchase!) when it opens at 10 a.m. at Kilohana, not Hanapepe.
More free pumpkins (Amy Chun and Laurie Ho both said they have no idea how many will be coming) will be available on Oct. 23, when the Pau Hana Market opens at 3 p.m. at Kukui Grove Center … go early before they run out … Amy said they might get Rachel Secretario to help out like last year.
The last chance for free pumpkins before Halloween comes on Oct. 28 at Grove Farm Market, when the weekly farmers market opens at 9:30 a.m … again, it’s free while supplies last.
These are all made possible by Kekaha Agriculture Association, and the major farms like Aloun Farms, Corteva Agriscience, Hartung Brothers and others.
