LIHU‘E — A variety of roadwork is scheduled around the island ranging from grass cutting to installation of sidewalk, according to a weekly update from the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation.
The following is a list of projects scheduled for the workweek ending Oct. 13.
Hanalei
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible for grass cutting in either direction between mile marker 5 and 7, in the vicinity of Wainiha Powerhouse Road, on Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kalaheo
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible for grass cutting in either direction, between mile marker 12 and 16.5, in the vicinity of Halewili Road and Iona Road, on Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A right lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 540) is possible for grass cutting in either direction between Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) and Quarry Road on Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kealia
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for grass cutting in either direction, in the vicinity of Kapoli Street and Pu U Hale Loop, on Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lihu‘e
A lane shift to the right on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for installation of sidewalk in the southbound direction in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway (Route 51), on Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Wailua
A two lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for striping work and manhole repair in either direction between Kuamo‘o road and Kapa‘a Bypass on Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
