WAIMEA — The Waimea Athletic Field pavilion and water fountain will be closed from Sept. 25 through Oct. 30, the County of Kauai Department of Parks and Recreation said.
The closure is necessary in order to complete American with Disability Act improvements to the park, as well as various repairs to the pavilion. Closed locations will be block off while the improvements take place. The work is weather permitting.
“Although the pavilion and a park enter will be closed, the comfort station and other portions of the park will remain open,” the department said.
The general contractor for the project is Pacific Blue Construction.
