Kudos to Melissa McFerrin Warrack, Sarah Tochiki, Mary Lardizabal and the Many Hands for coordinating a push for the radiothon that raised funds to benefit the Hawai‘i Foodbank, Maui Food Bank and their help toward relief from the Maui wildfires.

Jean Souza was lucky she didn’t forget her wallet when she went to visit the Freeze Dried Kaua‘i (gotta wait for the next Grove Farm Market craft fair) that was set up right outside K+M Kaua‘i (stands for ‘Mikaila’ and ‘Kadence Aguilar’) that Melissa said is scheduled to open at Kukui Grove Center in October with a monthly (every third Saturday) assortment of crafters.
Mary Lardizabal was so impressed with the Kaua‘i High School Homecoming Movie Night, she’s planning on doing the October movie night for the Kapa‘a Middle School ‘ukulele band and choir.
Thomas Daubert of the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge took advantage of the relief fundraiser to preview an event coming up in October (it’s Halloween!) by stationing in front of the wildlife refuge displays that’s set up across from Oki’s Bento.
Kudos, Kaua‘i Society of Artists for opening the 2023 Art Kaua‘i exhibit that is open daily from noon through Oct. 27. There is no admission fee to see those glorious pieces created by Ray Nitta (it’s not a surfboard!) and Bon Moore that got a lot of attention from the state’s Commission on Culture and the Arts.
