Jean Souza said the Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery is normally closed when the AmeriCorps Senior Kaua‘i RSVP and Mary Pigao celebrate the National Day of Service on Sept. 11. Rev. Kohtoku Hirao (did we have meditation on the Super Moon full moon?) and the Waimea Shingon Mission is bringing back their bon dance food specials on Sunday from 11:30 a.m., as a benefit to help the Lahaina Shingon Mission, the 122-year-old temple that was destroyed in the Aug. 8 wildfires on Maui, and the Meguro family.

Happy Labor Day — stay safe!
