Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles.

Root of the Throne
Episode 5 &6 (Sunday)
Sunday, 6:40 p.m.: Hang Goo-young finds Baek Yoon’s body, and tells Hong In-bang. Hong In-bang suspects Gil Tae-mi is behind the murder. Jung Do-jeon meets Boon-yi and hears what’s been going on around town. He gives her a wooden soldier and tells her to come find him.
Sunday, 7:50 p.m.: Boon-yi tells the townsfolk to wait for her, saying she has to go meet someone. Bang-won follows Boon-yi to the cave. He’s happy to see Boon-yi, but the townsfolk strips him and ties him to a tree. Boon-yi heads to the wooden plate store to find Yi Eun-chang only to be captured.

Episodes 1 (Monday); Episode 2 (Tuesday)
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Haebit Construction goes bankrupt due to funding issues. Ho Woo and Mr. Jang are powerless to prevent the bankruptcy. When Haebit’s president Jang passes on, Ho Woo pledges to probe into the truth behind it all. He becomes an accountant and joins one of the biggest accounting firms, Taeil. As a high school graduate, getting in the door is one problem as he is discriminated against because of his background. There he faces injustice and corruption that he pledged to fight against.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Ho Woo refuses Seung Jo’s help and tries to become the powerful force at Taeil on his own. He volunteers to go to Geumyang Central Community Credit Cooperative to show what he can do. But unknown to him is the relationship between Sang Ah’s Chairman and VP Han’s secret pact. Ho woo reaches out to audit team’s Kang Hyun to plead his case.
Good Supper
Episodes 73 &74 (Wednesday); Episode 75 &76 (Thursday)
Wednesday, 7:50 p.m.: Jong-kwon shows his concern for Kyung-su and Young-shin’s rumor. Kyung-su tells Young-shin he’s going on a blind date, surprising her. Young-shin is disappointed but tries to look indifferent. Kyung-su tells himself that this is the right thing for Young-shin.
Thursday, 7:50 p.m.: Jong-woo tells Jong-kwon that Ji-sun had a child, that the child might be Jong-kwon’s. Jong-kwon postpones adopting Young-shin. He ponders and tells Kyung-su he’d have to reconsider adopting Young-shin. When Sook-jung hears the news, she’s all too happy to gloat.
Gwanggaeto
Episodes 71 (Friday); Episodes 72 (Saturday)
Friday, 7:50 p.m.: After hearing from Doyeong that Baekje is trying to get Houyan involved, Damdeok speeds up his attack on Baekje. After returning to Baekje ignoring Damdeok’s pleas, Doyeong gets accused of being an agent for Goguryeo and is taken to Asin. Mo Duru asks his Baekje captors to kill him rather than to keep torturing him.
Saturday, 7:50 p.m. Damdeok orders an all-out attack on Wiryeseong and Asin puts up a valiant fight despite protests from others. Asin is finally forced to fight Damdeok one on one and is losing when Bu Yeohong shows up with Doyeong.
