In ther middle of all this, Alanna Bauman (her partner Nannie Apalla was helping with the luminaria at the Relay For Life, and was Rebecca Carnate hanging with Kaua‘i’s Lions clubs?) said there will be free books to read to your child from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Kaua‘i ‘Ohana Resource kiosk (you know? The structure near Small Fry) at Kukui Grove Center.
And, since you’re there already, it’s a good time to check out the Garden Isle Quilters Exhibit and Sale taking place at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists gallery every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You might get lucky and run into first-time quilter Linda Mathews, who has a lot of different types of quilts available since she just got into quilting and is trying to find what she likes to do.
OK, gotta go try the bubble hot dog at Partea. Jean Souza said it’s really good.
