Harold Leon Goldberg
Harold Leon Goldberg, 87, of Kalaheo, passed away on Aug. 11, 2023, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on Jan. 27, 1936 and was a retired Psychiatrist with the State of Hawai‘i.
Harold is survived by wife Elma S. Goldberg, son David Seth Goldberg, daughter Shelley Goldberg and granddaughter Marcelle Goldberg.
Private family services were held.

Isaac Apolani Kanahele
Isaac Apolani Kanahele passed away on Aug. 3, 2023, on Kaua‘i at the age of 62. He was born on Nov. 8, 1961, on Ni‘ihau. He was hand ranch and truck driver.
He was preceded in death by Jason I. Kanahele.
He is survived by his wife Kay K. Kanahele, daughters Myrahann (Brian) Kanahele Gerado, Tiffany Kanahele, Poni Kahale, Waipuilani (John) Kanahele, Kathy Ui Kaohelaulii, Kuualohalani Kanahele, grandchildren John-Austin Kaohelaulii Kaohelaulii, Briton Kanahele Gerardo, Kayson Kanahele Gerardo, Izrian Kanahele Gerardo, Mana Boy Kahale, Jayden Kahohelaulii, Dana Pfeiffer and Kalei Pfeiffer, great-grandchild Ariah Mortan, mother Betty-Uilama Kanahele, hanai dad Papa Kuulei-Kanani Beniamina, brothers Uilama-Noelani Kanahele, George (Elizabeth) Kawamura, sister Kuuipo Kanahele, sisters-in-law Annie (George) Kanahele and Kahu Hiipoi Kanahele, brother-in-law Keoua (Maryann) Kanahele, Pastor Joy-Shan Foster, nephews Walter Kalawelo Ui Kanahele, Kala Boy Pepe Leionaona and Oliwa Kanahele, nieces Lauri-Leo Pahulehua, Britt Niau (Karen Rapacon), Hiwa Kanahele, Waiui Kanahele (Nohea Stanley), Hiipoi Pat Kanahele Vakameilau, cousins Thomas Elia Kanahele, Kape Ui Kanahele, Kahu Joy Kahea Niau-Ohana, Kahu Kalei Nawai Kahale, Kahu Kauwila Pahulehua-Ohana, Mama Pualei Kaholelaulii, Awapuhi Kahale-Ohana, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at noon.

Esperanza ‘Ansang’ Tagatac
Esperanza “Ansang” Tagatac, 91, of Kekaha, passed away at home in Kahului, Maui, on July 28, 2023. She was born on April 23, 1932, in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was a retired housekeeper and seamstress.
She was preceded in death by husband Francisco, parents Anotolio and Damiana Nacapuy, brothers Mariano, Felimon (Juliana), Limbanio, and son Bernardo (Rosamond).
She is survived by sons Erwin (Melinda), Rolando (Lemelyn), daughter Esther (Brant), grandchildren Franklin (Jamy), Mark, Hazel (Todd), Charms, Zachary, Brittany, Courtney, Erin, Zane, great-grandchildren Taylor and Victoria.
Service is Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Visitation is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Eulogy at 9:30 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., and burial will follow at 11 a.m. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
