Jude Huber of Kaua‘i Sugarloaf Pineapple donated all her sales proceeds from the Saturday market in Puhi to Maui wildfire victims, and kudos, Steve Case, for the combined Grove Farm Foundation and Maui Land & Pineapple Company contributions toward the rebuilding effort following the wildfires.
Kudos, Tommy Noyes and the Bikes on Rice (did you check out that online-only electric bike?) crew on another great ride. They were planning on checking out the Playstreet event (Kaua‘i Federal Credit Union volunteers Hazelmae and Cameron Overturf were praying for no clouds so they could check out the Perseid Meteor showers!) at Laukona Park in Hanama‘ulu.
The Bikes on Rice event at Kalena Park (that access road between Kalena Park and Tanaka Store sounds like a good Playstreet zone because Tanaka Store closes at noon on Saturdays and is easily accessible to kupuna who would enjoy some of the Playstreet activities) opened up the monthly Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market (kudos to Lexi Jones for filling in as the market manager!).
