Division President Dom Lutao announced there will be no 70s Division games on Friday, July 28, in honor of Peter Rayno Jr., and in order for the KSCSA to prepare for the state tournament that will be played on Maui.
“As most of you are probably aware, our good friend Peter passed away last week. Peter was a tremendously popular coach, official, player, and mentor to so many people in all sports. He was a founding member of the Kaua‘i Senior Softball League (now listed as KSCSA) more than 25 years ago, and an original coach for the Super Seniors 70s Division two years ago,” said J.C. Crouch.
“He will be missed by everyone, and we send our condolences to his family and friends. According to Clifford Lee, the family will be releasing Peter’s obituary in The Garden Island newspaper this week. It will have details on the celebration of life. R.I.P Peter, from all of us.”
The next Super Seniors 70s Division games are scheduled to resume on Aug. 11 at Isenberg Park.
