Carole Porfiria Nacion
Carole Porfiria Nacion, of ‘Ele‘ele, passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born in Lihu‘e on Nov. 4, 1930, and retired as a secretary for Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo.
She was preceded in death by parents Jose and Victoria Tabuso, husband Nicolas Nacion Sr., brothers Jose Tabuso and Sonny Tabuso and sister Remy Ramos.
She is survived by daughters Vicki (Ken Sato) Valenciano, Ester Jayne (Eddie Iloreta) Brown and Shandra Macatee, son Nicolas Nacion Jr., five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is Saturday, Aug. 5, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo.
Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m., Mass celebrated at 10:30 a.m., and burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
