LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Senior Softball league wrapped up its 2023 season on Saturday with contests being waged at Isenberg Park and Baniaga Field in Hanapepe.
“The 60s Division saw another big day with the bat for a number of teams,” said J.C. Crouch, league president. “East Kaua‘i Legends blasted 21 runs for the second week over West Kaua‘i, and the Bushwackas gave a strong Barteks squad a test before falling short. The final standings will prove that Kaua‘i teams are ready to bring home the championship in every division, starting with the league champion Rookies.”
Crouch said in the 70s Division, the undefeated Ele Makule posted a strong win over Tsunami, and Na Koa Kupuna had to forfeit its game because of missing players.
“The 70s division games will go on to Aug. 18 with a break for the state tournament,” Crouch said. “The Super Seniors continue to impress with solid offense and defense each week.”
The 70s Division games play on Friday mornings at Isenberg Park, when the first pitch goes at 9 a.m.
