HANAPEPE — The Storybook Theatre invites everyone to learn from fabric artist Evelyn Roth on July 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Storybook Theatre in Hanapepe.
Roth will be leading a special one-day workshop, “Rare Kaua‘i Native Bird Cape Making.”
All materials for creating the cape will be provided for a cape for an individual cape when registering for the workshop at https://tgilinks.com/46Jw95H. Admission is $50, and covers the cape materials.
Once the cape is completed, caped characters have an opportunity to “spread your wings,” on July 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Kukui Grove Center main stage area.
“We will be showing off our new capes in a parader of rare Kaua‘i birds, including the ‘Akiki, Akekeke, and Puaiohi,” said Mark Jeffers of The Storybook Theatre. “As a bonus, Daffy our new inflatable Honeybee will be set up for her first show.”
