Lori Almarza, of the Kaua‘i United Way, reacts with the Beth Amaro (she’s on the Kaua‘i United Way board) announcement (not formal) that she is the executive director of the KUW with her 30 years of experience. Kudos to the Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce on the first Business Before Hours event since 2015 at Kumu’s Cupboard in Kukui Marketplace, just a few doors down from Otsuka’s. Kumu’s Cupboard, the Kaua‘i educators’ resource center, is getting ready for Back to School (Teachers’ first day is Aug. 1, according to the Department of Education school calendar), and Beth Amaro took advantage of the gathering to announce Lori Almarza as Kaua‘i United Way’s Executive Director.
