Malia Michelle Schimmelfennig
November 21, 1991 June 3, 2023 Honolulu, Hawai‘i
On June 3, 2023, our sunny, spirited, and courageous, Malia, joined her father for a joyful reunion in heaven.
Malia Schimmelfennig was born on November 21, 1991 to Beth and the late Bryan Schimmelfennig. She was the center of their lives, and a treasure to numerous friends and family. Bubbly, witty, upbeat, always caring, Malia exuded the kind of person many of us strive to become.
Malia entered Punahou in 1997, and graduated with honors with the Class of 2010. She excelled in several sports, including volleyball, but she especially loved water polo. She was always grateful for so many friends, wonderful teachers, and coaches.
After graduation Malia studied in Santa Barbara, and continued to explore many different interests: travel, photography, real estate, property management, modeling, and lately carpentry!
Malia loved life! To know her was to know joy and laughter. We all wish we had more time with her. She was sunshine.
Malia is survived by her mother, Beth; her boyfriend, Eddie Pu‘ulei; and many, many close friends and family.
Me ke aloha a hui hou kakou We love you!
