LIHU‘E — The weather cheated the 70s Division games, again, Friday. As a result, no contests were played at Isenberg Park.
“We just need someone to remove the curse of the weather gods that brought the rain on the Super Seniors, again Friday,” said J.C. Crouch of the Kaua‘i Senior Softball league. “Saturday’s games resulted in the top four teams staying a couple of wins from each other, and the teams in fifth through ninth places getting even tighter.”
“Both Kawaihau and Makos brought their A games to make the competition even tighter” Crouch said. “The lower four teams are all capable of helping themselves and affecting the standings each week. The final month-and-a-half of the season means that every game will be fun.”
The Kaua‘i Senior Softball league games continue Saturday, June 24, with the 60s divisions playing at the Isenberg Park and the Pat Baniaga, or Hanapepe fields starting at 9 a.m. at both locations.
The Super Seniors, or 70s division, are scheduled to play on Friday, June 23, at Isenberg Park, weather permitting. First pitch goes at 9 a.m.
