MANA — Manny Lawrence was the Top Gun at the June 3 Garden Isle Racing Association drag races that were held at Kaua‘i Raceway Park.
Manny Lawrence, the top Top Gun driver, moved his wheels to reach 171 miles per hour down the quarter-mile for the fastest car honor in Mana. Runner up Peter Fernando, aboard a 2000 Dragster, reached more than 165 mph, but broke out to give the high speed trophy to Manny Lawrence.
Who is going to be the Top Gun Battle on the Beach?
The Garden Isle Racing Association next hosts a two-day event on July 1, when the Top Gun Battle on the Beach takes place and on July 2 at the Kaua‘i Raceway Park.
Both are night races, and tickets can be purchased online at thefoat.com for both spectators and racers. Tickets are also available at the gate on race day at $20, cash only.
