Did Edwin Vea do The Beach House Craft Fair last week because Sunday is Father’s Day?
Nataliearth said we get a break this week before the Wailua Bay Creators’ Fair happens next Sunday (no, this week is Father’s Day) at the Hilton Garden Inn Wailua Bay Kaua‘i.
Rhan Honjo of the Nawiliwili Yacht Club (they had a ball with those three Japanese sailors who are sailing around the world) said Sunday is the return of the Father’s Day Fishing Derby outside the Kaua‘i Sailing Association building at the Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor, with lots of prizes. It’s still not too late for other community sponsors to jump on the wagon, too.
Selina Lutao said there’s a new sweet shop — Kaua‘i Petite Sweets — coming to the Koloa Village (wasn’t one of their vendors doing the ebike thing in The King’s Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a?) next to the Kaua‘i Juice Company.
In the meantime, people can get a preview at The Beach House Craft Fair (when’s the next one, Edwin?). Oshyyn Niau took a tip from Edwin and worked the crowd with Kealn Williams offering Kaua‘i Petite Sweets edibles (Edwin sold more than half of Flo’s Pickled Mango by walking the crowd with his cold bag).
Photographer Steffen Wild (yep, his company’s name is Wild Kaua‘i) was going crazy because the surf was up (been a long time since Reform was that nice), and Belkis Campos had the perfect setting for her swimwear and bags created from recycled plastic bottles.
Monika Mira wanted to know if you checked out the chicken (didn’t it sell on the opening day) at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists “Washed Up” marine debris art exhibit co-sponsored by the Surfrider Foundation, where the Kelly Morgan pieces just got the red dots (meaning they had been sold).
