The King Kamehameha Celebration Commission, the County of Kaua‘i and the Kaua‘i Museum ask people to bring their aloha (and don’t forget the lawn chairs and sun screen!) when they visit the King’s Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a that starts from 9:30 a.m. on Rice Street on Saturday (the roads are going to be shut, motorists!) and finishes at the lawn of the Historic County Building (it’s normally closed on Saturdays).
Edie Ignacio said there is the Wahine Made Market and Festival taking place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kapa‘a Beach Park that showcases local wahine entrepreneurs who engage in a variety of business ventures, like crafts, food and more, that ends at the start of the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market.
The Bikes on Rice “no one gets left behind” leisurely bike ride from Kalena Park starts right after the day-long bike safety clinic led by Tommy Noyes and his bike pros.
And don’t forget the adoption event taking place at the Kaua‘i Beer Company on Rice Street in Lihu‘e, where a dollar a pint is set aside to benefit the Kaua‘i Humane Society (are the adoption critters going to be there, too?).
Saturday is definitely going to be a busy one!
