Jeraldine Joyce Masumoto
Jeraldine Joyce Masumoto passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 74. She was born on May 5, 1949, in Honolulu, formerly of 1218 Circle Lane, and then moved to Kaua‘i with her family.
She worked at various jobs in Honolulu, at Hawaiian Regent Waikiki, and on Kaua‘i at Pay ‘n Save for 13 years, Steve’s Mini Mart for five years, Aloha Kaua‘i Travel for three years, and Sueoka Store for two years.
She was preceded in death my mother Juanita Nadoza, father Bernaldo “Benny” Nadoza, sister Roseanna Fontecha, brothers Leonard “Leo” Nadoza and Sidney “Sid” Nadoza, brother-in-law Wayne M. Lopez, in-laws Richard and Fusae Masumoto and son Ryan Masumoto.
She is survived by husband Richard Masumoto, son Ross Masumoto, grandson Royce Masumoto, granddaughter Xandra Masumoto, brothers-in-law Roy (Julie) Masumoto, Ronald Masumoto and Rodney Masumoto, sister Sharon Lopez of Kalaheo, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Services will be private, and scattering of ashes will be held at later date.
Donald ‘Donny’ Lee Strickland
Donald “Donny” Lee Strickland, 64, of Lihu‘e, passed away at home on May 8, 2023. He was born in Alaska on Sept. 10, 1958, and was a carpenter with the Carpenters Union Local 745.
He was preceded in passing by parents Hugh “Elmo” and Patricia Strickland.
He is survived by wife Jennifer Strickland, sons Dustin Strickland and Michael (Jessica) Phillips, daughters Kelsey Strickland and Tiffany Taylor, six grandchildren, sister Joanne Raffeo, brother Gary Strickland, and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A motorcycle run will take place on Sunday, June 25. Please call family for more information.

Louise Jeanette Silva
Louise Jeanette Silva, of Lawa‘i, passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 88. She was born on Dec. 12, 1934, on Kaua‘i. She worked at Hopaco.
She was preceded in death by husband Richard Silva, parents John and Mary Santos, sisters Lillian Perreira, Betty Gomes and Bella Ilalaole, and brothers Manuel and Kenneth Santos.
She is survived by son Wayne (Denise) Silva, daughters Sharon (Duane) Hahn, Joyce Pasion and Lisa (Roger) Taniguchi, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 10, at St. Raphael Church in Koloa. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m., and burial will follow at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery at 1 p.m.

Virginia Pacleb Honorato
Virginia Pacleb Honorato, of Kapa‘a, passed away on May 14, 2023 at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home in ‘Oma‘o, at the age of 63. She was born in the Philippines.
She was preceded in death by parents Alejo and Juanita Honorato and brothers George and Casimero Honorato.
She is survived by brothers Abraham (Wilhelmina) Honorato, Narcisco (Maralyn) Honorato, Albert (Imelda) Honorato, Vicente Honorato and Nestor (Cindy) Honorato and sisters Corazon (Norman) Chang and Cresencia (Juanito) Lim.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 24, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia. Visitation begins at 9 a.m., Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m., and burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery.
