HONOLULU — Kaua‘i High School, the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation baseball champions, earned the No. 3 seed at the Wally Yonamine Foundation Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association Division II Baseball State Championships, the HHSAA announced Saturday evening.
HONOLULU — Kaua‘i High School, the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation baseball champions, earned the No. 3 seed at the Wally Yonamine Foundation Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association Division II Baseball State Championships, the HHSAA announced Saturday evening.
With the No. 3 seed, Kaua‘i High School will begin play on Wednesday, May 3, at 3 p.m. against unseeded Kahuku at the Kaiser High School field on O‘ahu.
Top seed Waipahu will face unseeded Konawaena High School of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation on Wednesday at Radford High School. The No. 2 seed is Kamehameha Schools-Hawai‘i, also of the BIIF. They play unseeded Wai‘anae on Wednesday at Pearl City High.
The No. 4 seed is Moloka‘i High School of the Maui Interscholastic League, which will face Damien High School at the Radford field.
The Division II championship game is Saturday, May 6 at 4 p.m. at the Les Murakami Field at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
Division I seedings have Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama earning the top seed, with the Baldwin Bears of the MIL getting the No. 2 seed. Waiakea High School of the BIIF is the No. 3 seed, and Campbell High School gets the No. 4 seed.
