She has a lot of volunteers, like Kawahine Kaui, who was joined by Julie Souza and Elaine Panui on Tuesday in seranading clients needing to do business at the county Department of Motor Vehicles building in Lihu‘e! Go, kupuna. You guys are the bomb!
Mahalo, Michael Koerte, for all the help with the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation softball, and especially the Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association play-in game (uncle John Kaneholani wasn’t going to miss this one) on the day before needing to have surgery done. Good luck with the procedure! And mahalo, Principal Tommy John Cox and the Kapa‘a High School ‘ohana, for accommodating all those softball fans in the middle of the school day!
Roy Yamakawa, Gary Ueunten (and Daniel Momohara?) and the Kalaheo-Lawa‘i Community Association are asking for help — especially from families who have loved ones interned at the Lawa‘i Cemetery — to clean up the cemetery on May 13 in time for Mother’s Day (that’s coming up May 14). They’ll be there from before 8 a.m. to welcome volunteers!
OK, Sarah Tochiki and the Kaua‘i Community College instrumental musicians are offering a series of free spring concerts on Friday, Saturday (starts at 7 p.m.) and Sunday (starts at 4 p.m.) at the Kaua‘i Philippine Cultural Center in Puhi.
And, don’t forget the Parent and Child Fair (Victoria Lam and the Little Miso bookmobile will be there!) on Saturday at Kukui Grove Center!
